The Renaissance is housed in a 17th-century mansion in central Castres. It offers air-conditioned rooms with traditional and antique furnishings. Each room also has a private bathroom and TV. A first class experience in a truly uniquely furnished ancient building. Excellent staff and speedy Wi-Fi too. If you get the chance to stay here you definitely should even if it’s a few euros more as the whole experience is just superb. Themed rooms from days gone by are really special. I’ve been travelling for 2 months now and this is the best and quirkiest hotel I’ve stayed in.

SO happy to discover this gem of a new hotel near me in the Tarn. A gorgeous country chateau in the rolling French countryside near to Toulouse that has been converted into a sensational boutique hotel. There are lots of boutique hotels popping up in the area but none with a Spa like this! We had the most sensational suite with a huge terrace overlooking the gardens and the countyside, with the snowcapped Pyrenees in the distance. The staff were super friendly, the restaurant was delicious and very well priced for a hotel, and the Spa was exceptional. There is no Spa like this anywhere in the area. A real amount of love and attention has been made by the owners Gordon and Danielle Oldham (of Pavilion Hotels - he is English, she is French from the local area) to make this a perfect French retreat. I have already booked a Spa day in two weeks time!

Our entire team is happy to welcome you to our establishment on the occasion of your visit to the Episcopal City, classified by Unesco, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Benvenguts a l’oustal !! My room on the 4th floor was extremely comfortable. One of my best night's sleep on this trip. Colorful modern decor. The reception area is "cool" and atmospheric. If I had had more time in Albi, the ground floor would have been the place! Staff was helpful in providing me a map of the city and then holding my luggage behind the counter as I ventured around beautiful Albi the next day. If you are coming from La Gare, you can probably walk. I wound up taking the bus from La Gare to Place Jean Jaures, from which it is an easy stroll to Ibis. Just €1.10 to ride the bus. The attractive, atmospheric old quarter is an easy walk from the Ibis.
